Module 1: BC Architecture & Navigation
Understanding the BC ecosystem: tenants, environments, sandboxes vs production. Role Center personalization. Master data management: Chart of Accounts, Dimensions, Customers, Vendors, Items, Locations. Understanding posting groups and how they drive financial entries.
Module 2: Financial Management Deep-Dive
General Ledger configuration: Chart of Accounts, Dimensions, Accounting Periods. Payables and Receivables management. Bank reconciliation. Fixed Assets: acquisition, depreciation, disposal. Intercompany accounting and consolidation. Multi-currency transactions. Budgeting and cost accounting. Month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Module 3: Supply Chain & Inventory
Item master configuration: item categories, units of measure, item tracking (serial/lot numbers). Purchasing: RFQs, purchase orders, receipts, vendor management. Sales: quotes, orders, shipments, invoicing, customer management. Inventory management: transfers, physical inventory, item journals, costing methods. Warehouse management: bins, put-aways, picks, shipments.
Module 4: Manufacturing Module
Production BOMs and routings. Production orders: creation, scheduling, consumption, output. Capacity planning. Subcontracting. MRP (Material Requirements Planning). Shop floor integration concepts.
Module 5: Reporting, Security & Go-Live
Financial and operational reporting using standard BC reports. Report customization using Word and RDLC layouts. User security: permission sets, user groups, profiles. Data migration approaches: RapidStart, configuration packages. Go-live planning and cutover strategies.
